  1. Why the fuck would you pay a university to teach you how to understand medieval jackasses? I swear, college is the biggest fucking scam of the modern age. The class is "Business Writing" and is required...but my mistake, its 340, not 440. And yes, college is a scam. Hurry up and graduate yo.
  2. No invite ... (yet?) same
  3. I haven't even bothered to grasp the concept yet. Anyone here that can explain? D3 runes imbue a skill with the effects of that rune, but the results are different for each skill. Simplistic explanation is it's as if you could put a gem into your skill in d2. Ex. ruby would make your skill fire like and add fire animation. Good ol' GW - to bad activity seemed to be at an all time low last time I was on. I've had a few stints with GW over the years. On/off since the '05 release. It keeps my attention like a Presidential speech being given to a child with ADHD. The grind and repetitiveness overcomes the great graphics and game-play. The PvP was never balanced and is wholly dysfunctional. GW2 looks great, but Anet set a fowl precedent after abandoning their last game after only a few years. Leaving it to rot and only offering silly costumes and tonics as incentive to keep playing. I've also been on/off since the release. Every time an expansion would come out I would pick it up and play for a month and then stop for six... I also had this problem for 3 years. I found in order to truly enjoy the game you first need to beat every missions in every campaign so you have full access to the game. In addition, joining an active guild really helps because they can teach you the ropes. The game has a pretty high learning curve relative to other rpgs IMO. GW isn't something you can really solo (though you can steam roll most of PvE w/ H/H) so having people to play with is great. Working towards titles can either be the biggest bitch or loads of fun if you have people to help you. Plus, you don't have to worry about "godly" items. You just pay more for items will cooler looking skins to make your e-peen bigger.
  4. You can look at the signature of your old account to see why you were banned. Just for reference it says: I don't know anything about the situation, but based on the evidence it seems like budman banned you for being an idiot.
  5. If D3 doesn't deliver, there will still be the old republic and guild wars 2. Like many here, the more D3 previews I see the less interested I get. I've already pre-ordered TOR and the more I see from GW2 the more I want to play. I'm currently working on getting 50/50 for my HoM in GW.
  6. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/age?r=%2Fd3%2Fen%2Fcalculator%2F D3 Skill Calculator is out. I guess you can pre-plan your builds, but without having ingame experience it's all theorycrafting. Interesting to see what they have though.
  7. I've come to terms with the auction house selling items for money. I think they should draw the line there though. Characters should not be sold. My biggest concern is with people sharing accounts or having accounts hacked. Someone is bound to lose their money this way. Things are more serious when actual money is involved. I'm sure there will be an easily traceable money trail through the AH, but still the real money transactions are going to require heavy policing. OT, Ruksak - Do you play GW? I'm trying to fill my HoM right now in preparation for gw2. I'm always looking for others to play with because even after 4 years I'm a mega noob. EDIT: I was reading their FAQ and stumbled across this: Can players choose to get cash from currency-based auction house sales, instead of having the proceeds deposited into their Battle.net account? Yes, as an advanced feature, players will have the option of attaching an account with an approved third-party payment service to their Battle.net account. Once this has been completed, proceeds from the sale of items in the currency-based auction house can be deposited into their third-party payment service account.
  8. For Sale: The Character Name Erica ISO: offers Note: -I will give you the account name/password with the character on it. Afterwards, I am no longer responsible. -I will NOT place the character name on an account of your choice. -I will NOT try and coordinate a delete with your character creation.
  9. According to the fansites, blizzard is also planning on allowing character sales in the future. So basically, it's all about the money. I'm sort of disappointed, but I definitely understand the need for it. I think the ability to sell characters is a little too far. Items are fine.
  10. D3 fansites visited Blizzard on July 27th and got to see some Diablo 3 things first hand. You can see everything here: http://www.diablofans.com/topic/26249-diab...ss-event-visit/ Some notable things: -Diablo 3 Auction House which allows you to buy and sell items with game currency or real money -Looking to support character sales in a future update -Autostating & Autoskilling -6 Skills allowed on the skill bar -Account wide stash, additional pages can be bought for ingame gold. From the FAQ: I was reading their FAQ and stumbled across this: Can players choose to get cash from currency-based auction house sales, instead of having the proceeds deposited into their Battle.net account? Yes, as an advanced feature, players will have the option of attaching an account with an approved third-party payment service to their Battle.net account. Once this has been completed, proceeds from the sale of items in the currency-based auction house can be deposited into their third-party payment service account. “Cashing out” would then be handled through the third-party payment service. Note that this process will be subject to applicable fees charged by Blizzard and the third-party payment service. Also, any proceeds from the sale of items in the currency-based auction house that have been deposited into the Battle.net account will not be transferrable to the third-party payment service account. Not all regions will support this advanced feature at launch. Region-specific details, as well as details regarding which third-party payment services will be supported and the fee that Blizzard will charge for the cash-out process, will all be provided at a later date. What I interpret it as is immediately after the auction you can choose to have the cash deposited into a 3rd party account, but you will be charged an additional fee for that transfer. The next option is to have it deposited into your Battle.net account. In this case, you cannot wait for the cash to accumulate and then deposit into your third party account. Money tied to your battle.net account can only be used on blizzard products. Basically what I see is, they either want you to only spend their money on blizzard products or make you pay a fee as many times as possible to get the actual cash out.
  11. Here is a fan made compilation of the 3 main trailers released. The trailers have been placed in chronological order showing the correct flow of events. I was also a big fan of BF1&2 and republic commando. I'm probably gonna end up playing SWTOR, D3, and GW2. I can't seem to choose 1. Edit: Spelling/grammar lol
  12. I've pre-ordered the game. It looks pretty good (i was a fan of kotor). I've been waiting for it to come out for 2 years now. Anyone else looking forward to this game?
