SainT
So im on the last question of an assignment and its got me stumped.. Solve the inequality (x-0.25)^1 > 0 Note -1 is the exponent.
Augusto
i think you missed an (-) on the exponent. Here it is: (x-0,25)^-1 > 0 1/(x-0,25) > 0 If you look at the inequality you'll realize that (x-0,25) must be bigger then 0 (positive), otherway the equation is false. so (x-0,25) > 0 => x > 0,25 Tee Hee
foxshox
All its saying is that that equation has to be positive. There is no way for that equation to equal zero, since 1/0 is a indeterminant form, not 0, so really you just can't let the denominator be negative or 0. So x>.25 would make this inequality true. Just wondering how people mistake the x for a w.. I never get that shit.
Jager
Looks like this has been answered so I'm closing it.
