gibson
This year, we have to find a book/novel that relates to a play/drama. We have to find ways these 2 works relate to each other. I think I found a fairly good play called Cat on a hot tin roof, which deals with a dysfunctional family, but iv'e been unsuccessful in finding a novel where the family members don't really got along. If any one could recommend a novel where family members don't get along i'd be very grateful. Another idea i have is to find a play that is similar to The lord of the Rings. This play could deal with war, the rising of a great character (aragorn) or immense task that must be completed (frodo with the ring). If any one has any recommendations for similar works to these topics, please let me know. thanks

gibson
sweet thanks for the help! only problem i see is the Taming of the shrewd is a play, and i already have the play. But, i could use Taming, and find a similar book to match it. Also the hobbit to king arthur sounds great, i'm just making sure king arthur came out on play first. RoundBear
Go for " The Little Foxes" By Hellman, it's a play also. Mostly about greed but you can tie into how greed corrupts the family and makes them fight.
