  2. I think its still quite obvious that in todays society there is still a stigma about judaism and those who practice it, what with the term "being jewed" being thrown about. The whole "jews deal with money" stigma was a created one, not one sought. Back in history, it was thought to be dirty to handle money, and so it was the Jewish people who were forced to do it, as the Christians saw it as unfit for them. This continued on and the stigma grew and grew.

  7. But its tainted?! and soo..Dark sided?? i guess that 20k for the gastric bypass buys you a get out of hell free card....
  8. no, there was definitely reference to hitler, i got the feeling the entire way through the book... it was basically "ethnic cleansing"... creating a master race of witches and wizards... and if we're going off that, then all of the wizards that just "let it happen and pass by them" could be quite related to those german's during wwII who did nothing to help their neighbors when they had the chance to do so....
  9. agreed, having read both, seen all the movies and etc Hp is just better, for our generation at least.... I'm about to start re-reading the book, and then i'm going to re-read the series, its putting everything in a different perspective...
  10. dl'd one of the torrent ones, luckily apparently i got one of the good ones... i actually put it on my phone so i could read it while i was waiting in line( i have pdf viewing capabilities) so by the time i got the real book i was in the 500's... its amazing that a leak of this magnitude occured.... well it is and isn't at the same time, with a launch as big as this....
  11. i finished it at 330 last night/this morning it is the end to the most ...influential period of my life...a decade of harry and now what? its kind of ... sad in a way the book is amazing though, cliche at times, still amazing.
  12. i saw it at midnight, and I'm getting the book at midnight as well I'm a huge fan...the movie was good, some great lines in it and all, but there was definitely several things changed that might make you angry if you are a fan of the books....overall pretty good though
